Lashes

False eyelashes are a MUST in my makeup routine! It might even be my favorite part of it as well. False eyelashes come in so many different shapes and lengths. They can help enhance anyone, from people who don't have many lashes to people that just want to have big full lashes. Another alternative is eyelash extensions, which i recently invested in. It's where you go to a salon and they glue tiny little hairs that look like eyelashes to your individual lash. These can last anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on length and personal preference and can cost anywhere from $100-$300 so they are more pricey than false lashes but they are definitely worth it!

Eyeshadows

Wearing eyeshadow can enhance any makeup look from a day to night look. You can purchase eyeshadows in single or in a palette form. Usually buying an eyeshadow palette is the better buy since you do get a wide variety of colors and of finishes. Eyeshadows usually come in 3 finishes, matte, shimmer, and metallic. Some of my favorite eyeshadow palettes are the Tartelette In Bloom palette, which offers shimmer and matte shades, the Morphe 35o palette, which comes in 2 palette finishes, matte and shimmer, and last the Alice in Wonderland palette by Urban Decay. Eyeshadow is always something to include when your aiming for a more intense look!

Foundations

Foundation is key in any makeup artists routine. Basically foundation cover up any imperfection on your face. It can come in a wide range of colors as well as the way it makes you look. Some common foundation look scan be dewey, matte, or even an airbrushed finish. A few personal favorite foundations of mine include, Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation, Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow foundation, and Too Faced Born this Way foundation. These 3 foundations all have different finishes to them and coverage as well, for example the Tarte one is a full coverage matte foundation, and the Loreal one is a light to medium coverage with a dewey/glow finish. Usually I wear a dewey foundation in the winter and a matte one in the summer!

Why I Chose this Topic

I chose to do my blog assignment over makeup because it is something that i am interested in and know quite a bit about. In my blog I will talk about some makeup brands/products I like and use and also show you some pictures of the products that i will be talking about!
